Plot summary
Alex Romero is a young addict grieving the death of his abusive father. He meets Shane Collins, a charming and dangerous stranger, and the two become intimate. Shane moves in as his roommate, and his manipulative hold on Alex deepens. Shane pushes him toward destruction, a course that carries a price. Along the way Shane teaches Alex about life, sex and fighting back.
