Plot summary
Seventeen foster homes are what the future holds for Brucie, left on the steps of a police station as an infant. The surroundings he grows up in shape him, and a war for his soul is under way around him. His friend Suzy takes him to church, and for a time things seem to be looking up. Then the Cartel pulls him from the grid against his will, to do its bidding.
