Plot summary
Aleka is a gawky girl of sixteen on her summer holiday, and she refuses to realize that she has become a lovely young woman. She remains a proper tomboy and still plays with the boys. Her neighbor Dimitris is a bookish student who needs quiet in order to prepare for his upcoming exams, and Aleka enjoys taunting him. The pair seem incompatible, and they quarrel and tease each other whenever they meet. Love, though, paves the way for a subtle change, and the feelings of first love begin to take over. Aleka must decide whether to give up the tomboy she has always been.
