Plot summary
Katerina Pieri is an orphaned typist who has spent a long time hunting for decent work to keep her family afloat, and every attempt has failed. Her luck changes when the financial magnate Alexis Varnezis dismisses his secretary; through persistence as much as chance, Katerina is hired in her place. The position at last allows her to support her family, and she becomes his right-hand assistant, a post she values greatly. Business then takes the pair to Rome for professional reasons; a stumble at the Fontana di Trevi puts Katerina in her employer's company away from the office, and she finds herself in love with her boss.
