Plot summary
Loukas and Anna are old, and their memories go back over the years they have shared. The flashback begins on the day Loukas asked for Anna's hand in marriage and continues through the wedding and the first quarrels that follow. Married life brings misunderstandings, and because the couple cannot have a child, they face problems with adoption. Friends and relatives pass through their recollections, each tied to some episode of the marriage. When the memories end, Loukas and Anna are back in the present, in the loneliness of their old age, where the love between them warms their hearts again.
