Labros Konstadaras
Biography
Labros Konstadaras was a Greek actor of theater and cinema who worked in both comedy and drama. Born in Kolonaki, Athens, he went to Paris in 1934 to study goldsmithing, but a bit part in a theatrical performance brought him to the notice of the French director Louis Zoybe. He trained at the theater Atene and returned to Greece in the summer of 1938 to begin his career. Over 40 years he acted in 191 plays and in more than 75 films, most of them comedies, often as the mature, wealthy womanizer or as the father of well known stars of the era. His films included My Daughter, the Socialist (1966), A Matter of Earnestness (1965), Some Weary Lads and Alice in the Navy. He died in 1985.
