Plot summary
In Boise, Idaho, in 1993, Brandy Klark finishes high school with top marks and no sexual experience. At a graduation party she kisses Rusty Waters, a college student she has a crush on, and he turns her down once he sees who she is. Brandy decides her summer needs a different education and draws up a to-do list of sexual acts, with Rusty as the final goal. Her older sister Amber and her friends Fiona and Wendy offer advice, and her mother Jean is more open about it than her conservative father, Judge George Klark. Brandy takes a lifeguard job at a community pool where Rusty also works, and her boss Willy and the other lifeguards put her through hazing. Her study partner Cameron Mitchell has long been in love with her.
