Plot summary
Harry Haft is held at the Auschwitz concentration camp, where he boxes fellow prisoners to stay alive. He carries the memories of the camp and his guilt with him after the war. He becomes a professional boxer and takes high-profile fights, among them bouts against boxing legends such as Rocky Marciano, and he uses them in the hope of finding his first love again.
