Plot summary
Jed King is an aspiring singer-songwriter who writes his own songs and performs them himself, and the break he is after has not come. His father, David King, is a country music legend, and Jed's own career has yet to reach that level. He reluctantly takes a gig at a harvest festival at a local vineyard, and there he meets Rose, the daughter of the vineyard's owner. He is love-struck, and a romance blooms between them. They marry soon after, and Jed writes a song for Rose. Titled The Song, it is about her, and it becomes a breakout hit.
