Plot summary
Isle and her husband Antoine are newlyweds traveling to a chateau that belongs to Isle's two cousins, her last surviving relatives. In the town they are told that both cousins died the day before, but the couple go on to the chateau, where two women show them to a room. Isle visits her cousins' graves and meets Isabelle, who says she had been about to marry both of the cousins. Upset by the deaths, Isle spends her wedding night in a room by herself. A woman named Isolde emerges from the grandfather clock in her room, leads her to the cemetery and bites her neck. Antoine finds her bed empty when he goes to her chamber.
