Plot summary
Moochie Daniels is a preteen who wants a dog of his own, but his father Ron is allergic to canines, so the household has none. Their neighbor Charlie Mulvihill owns Bundles, a shabby Old English Sheepdog. Moochie's older brother Wilby is a promising inventor who is clumsy around girls and envious of his friend Trey. Wilby gets a ring once owned by Lucrezia Borgia, which he got from his father's museum of curiosities, and reads out the spell held in it. The spell turns Wilby into Bundles, and back into himself, at moments he cannot control. A diamond is also on loan to the museum.
