The Secret of Arkandias (2014) on Netflix

Plot summary

Théo is not one of the popular pupils at his school, and the ordinary days there weigh on him. He dreams of adventure and of heroic deeds, and of escaping his everyday life. One day in the local library he comes across a very old book of magic, and the shorthand inside it holds his attention. His mother stands accused of something she did not do. To save her, Théo turns to Bonav, his best friend, and to Laura, who is rebellious, and the three of them settle on a plan: to forge a ring that grants invisibility to whoever wears it.
