HOUBA! On the Trail of the Marsupilami (2012) on Netflix

Plot summary

A scoop is what the reporter Dan Geraldo needs. He travels to Chiquito, in Palombia, where he expects to find nothing of consequence beyond an interview with the Paya, the country's indigenous tribes. His companion is Pablito, an eccentric and impoverished vet and tour guide whose children consider him a liar. Pablito recounts the myth of the Marsupilami, an extremely rare creature believed to inhabit the Palombian rainforest. Elsewhere, the botanist Hermoso, who is eighty years old, comes upon a rare orchid that the Marsupilami uses to cradle its eggs, condenses it into a liquid and drinks it, which returns him to early adulthood. With Caporal, an officer of the Palombian army, he seizes power and makes plans to capture the creature.
