Trailer

Plot summary

Prospector Sam Cooper strikes gold in Nevada, and when his partner turns on him, Sam takes cover in the mine and seals the entrance with dynamite. He carries a load of gold dust toward town, loses his horses and food to starving desperadoes, and dumps the dust in a river before walking on. In town he wires his godson, Manolo Sanchez, to help him work the secret mine. Manolo brings along an old acquaintance, a killer named Brent, who wants a share of the gold. Sam has no choice but to take him, and for protection he asks his former army friend Mason, still bitter over their desertion from the army and his own three years in a brig, to join for half the profits. The four buy mining tools and supplies and set out for the mine.
