Plot summary
In 1939, SS officer Dietrich comes to Joseph Von Hammersmark to buy a book of mystical recitations and spells, and Von Hammersmark proves its power in front of him. That night Von Hammersmark's wife Eva slips away with the book. By 1941 it has reached a Toymaker, and Colonel Von Braun briefs his men to board the train at Munich, take the book from the Toymaker and kill him. Another agency holds the same intelligence, with orders to reach the Toymaker before Nuremberg. On the train, the Toymaker turns the book's power on a vintage doll called Robert, and Robert comes to life.
