Plot summary
At an exorcism, Hannah Grace is possessed by an inhuman force, and the rite ends when her father Grainger smothers her. Three months on, in Boston, Megan Reed, once a police officer, has left rehab and taken an intake post in a hospital morgue; her sponsor Lisa Roberts arranged the interview, and Dr. Henry Lewis warns that the isolation and the smell have driven others away. On a later shift, an EMT named Randy delivers the corpse of a young woman. Megan's camera and computer fail, the drawer will not stay shut, and a hooded man outside the door keeps demanding to be let in.
