Plot summary
Ember Morley designs graphics in Manhattan and hopes one day to illustrate storybooks. An inheritance takes her by surprise: the Christmas tree farm that belonged to her grandmother is now hers, and it stands in Willow Hill, the town where she grew up. Her plan is to sell the property before the holiday arrives. The people of Willow Hill ask her to stay a while longer instead and to help arrange the Christmas Tree Festival the town holds each year. She agrees, and the farm's caretaker, Brandon Hart, works alongside her on those preparations. Working beside him recalls ambitions she had let go of.
