Plot summary

Francesca "Frankie" Del Vecchio writes songs and sings with her band while engaged to Tony Cappelletti, who dreams of launching a frozen food label. She opens the trunk of a rental car, finds a dead body and hands it to the police. Her sister Heather talks her into attending the funeral of a real mafia boss, where they meet Nicolette Bellafusco, the confident daughter of the new don, Caesar Bellafusco. Heather finds the family hypnotic, Nicolette finds it ordinary, Frankie finds it irritating. When Heather invites Nicolette to a gig, Nicolette offers to manage the band and get it onto the television show Mob Hit. As the two women spend more time together, federal agents question Frankie about her new mafia friends.
