Plot summary
Beth is alone in the lakeside house her husband Owen built for her. He has taken his own life, and she drinks through the night and works through the belongings he left behind. The note he left behind puzzles her. Owen was an architect, and the house was his own design. Her friend Claire and her neighbor Mel are concerned about her. At night the house gives her experiences she cannot account for. Among his papers she finds a floor plan of their house drawn in reverse, with the rooms laid out as a mirror of the ones she lives in.
