Plot summary
Rock Burdock is seventeen, and a contest has picked the Sitka Spruce in his family's garden to stand across from the White House as the national Christmas tree. Faith Russell, a marketing representative for Box of Toys, the company behind the project, comes to meet Rock and his father, Corey. Corey set the tree in the ground the year his son was born, and he does not like the idea of sending it east, so he says the two of them will haul it themselves. Corey drives the truck with Rock beside him, and Faith trails them in her car for much of the route. Rock records the journey on camera and puts it on his vlog, and the posts draw a growing audience.
