Plot summary
Leon, a photographer in the city, lives with his girlfriend Maya and waits for a chance at real work. The gallery owner Susan Hoff looks at his pictures and tells him he does not take enough risks, so he goes out at night with his camera and follows a group of punks into the subway, where he photographs an attack on a woman and steps in to stop it. She kisses him and runs for a train. The next morning he learns she is missing, and Detective Lynn Hadley dismisses his statement. Leon keeps watch at the station, and his search leads him to an elegant butcher named Mahogany, who rides the late trains.
