The Mechanik (2005) on Netflix

Plot summary

Nikolai Cherenko, called Nick, is a retired Spetsnaz soldier who repairs cars in the Russian village of Gorelovo. His wife Alina and his son Vanya are killed when Aleksandr 'Sasha' Popov and his gang open fire over a drug deal gone wrong, and Nick leaves the country. Seven years later he is a mechanic in Los Angeles. Mary Abramoff, a wealthy widow, finds him and asks him to go to Russia and bring back her daughter Julia, who is being held and forced to work in the sex trade. Nick says he is only a mechanic. Mary's attorney John Ridley tells him they know his past, and Nick agrees once Mary says Sasha is the man who took her daughter.
