Plot summary
Samuel Obalolu has had enough of the strict religious rule of his father, Pastor Josiah Obalolu, and he leaves the family home for university. There he sets Christianity aside and fronts an Afrobeat band, though the faith he walked away from keeps its hold on him. His friends include Rekya, a backing singer he sees now and then without commitment, and Teju, a friend from childhood. Samuel is drawn to Joy, a close friend of Teju's, and he starts going to her fellowship group to impress her. Teju has feelings for Samuel that she keeps quiet, and his pursuit of Joy angers her.
