Plot summary
Daniel Anderson arrives at a foster home with donations and stays to tell the children a story. In it, Billy Stone slips into his father's dig and is sent away, so he swims with his friend Allie. She lends him an old book, and reading it together they learn the medallion the archaeologists are hunting lies buried at another spot. With Billy's homemade metal detector the two search the forest while two men from a rival company watch them. Billy and Allie unearth the medallion; the men give chase, and the children come home to find them holding Billy's father. Billy wishes the mess had never happened, and the medallion lands him and Allie two hundred years in the past, where a village king named Huko claims the medallion for himself.
