Plot summary
School lets out, and Spanky, Alfalfa, Mary Ann, Buckwheat, Porky, and Stymie spend their days around Grandma Larson's bakery, where a red velvet cake goes wrong in the kitchen. A bank officer tells Grandma she owes $10,000 and has two weeks to pay, or the shop is gone. Ray Kaye, Waldo's father, wants the building for a shopping mall. The kids form the International Silver String Submarine Band for a talent show, but their rehearsals sound terrible. They also take jobs: Porky, Buckwheat, Mary Ann, and Stymie are turned away, Spanky and Alfalfa are fired as caddies at the country club, and a pet washing business leaves animals dyed green. Spanky then builds a homemade taxi.
