Plot summary

A double bill of two shorts in the style of 1950s B-pictures. In the first, the UESPA spaceship Endeavor carries its crew toward Alpha Centauri. Woken from LD-sleep, the crew finds itself orbiting a rogue planet. On the surface lies what appears to be a dead alien. The Captain has it brought aboard for study, and the crew learns the creature is not dead and is hungry. In the second, scientist Barney Collins is raising his only son alone after his wife's death. When the boy vanishes from his bed, Barney withdraws from the world. Eight years on he comes back with a theory: an otherworldly entity takes sleeping children through portals in their bedroom walls. He turns to old colleagues for help, to reach his son or to prove he is insane.
