Plot summary
Mari and Jeff Thompson have been married for fifteen years and call their home life a happy one. Their married friends and neighbors keep splitting up. The friends who are now single make their case to Jeff and Mari, together and separately: divorce is the way to go, a second marriage would fail the same way, and a divorce can put the spark back into a marriage gone stale. Jeff and Mari take stock of their own marriage in light of all this, while those friends set up situations that might compromise each of them.
