Plot summary
In 2024, the U.S. government prepares to switch on the American Peace Initiative, a signal meant to keep anyone from knowingly breaking the law. Graham Bricke runs a crew of bank robbers in Detroit that includes his brother Rory, who is starting a prison sentence. A week before the signal goes nationwide, the money Bricke has saved to leave for Canada is taken from him. At a bar he meets Shelby Dupree, and her fiancé Kevin Cash sets out their plan: disrupt a signal tower, rob the city's money factory, and cross the river into Canada. Bricke takes over the heist, studying the facility where more than a billion dollars in new and used bills is held, and calls in his getaway driver Ross.
