Plot summary
A disease of unknown origin, called the Panic, kills anyone who steps into the open, and Barcelona's survivors live sealed inside buildings. Marc, a computer engineer, was at his office when it struck; Julia, his girlfriend, was in his apartment. Before the outbreak she wanted a child, and Marc, afraid of losing his job, refused. Three months on he digs tunnels and scavenges supplies in a downtown building, desperate for word of her. There he meets Enrique, his former boss, who owns a working GPS device and has a destination of his own. Marc forces him into a partnership, and the two travel through the subway tunnels, because the streets above are lethal.
