Plot summary

Sonja Fitzgerald is a college student who studies physics and doubts the paranormal. She comes across an old videotape in the basement of her home and puts it on. The tape holds black-and-white footage of a strange man carrying out a ritual. Her research tells her the recording is said to date from 1594 and to be the work of Var, a sorcerer who travels through time. He is said to have gathered equipment for making films from the future and to have left his spirit inside the film. Anyone who watches it sets him loose.
