The Jodorowsky Constellation (1994) on Netflix

Plot summary

At the center of the documentary is Alejandro Jodorowsky, who gives a long interview in Spanish with subtitles. He talks about his life, his loves, and his years as a filmmaker and graphic novelist, and about the workshops he leads. The film also covers his eccentricities, among them reading tarot cards and directing theater during the Panic Movement. Artists who have worked with him appear to discuss their projects with him, and their accounts sit beside clips from his movies. Footage from his absurdist plays shows topless women covered in paint moving about the stage, staged as part of the Panic Movement, the artistic current holding that reason alone cannot capture the whole of human experience.
