Plot summary
Claire is an asthmatic college dropout who works at the Yankee Pedlar Inn, and Luke runs a website about its supposed hauntings. With the hotel in its last days, they are the only employees left, and both hope to document the ghost activity before the doors close. They are drawn to the story of Madeline O'Malley, a bride who killed herself after being left at the altar and whose body the owners hid in the basement. Luke checks in an older guest, Leanne Rease-Jones, a former actress Claire recognizes; when Claire brings her towels, the meeting turns awkward. Claire later carries Luke's ghost-hunting equipment around the hotel and hears faint voices and music, then watches the lobby piano play by itself.
