Plot summary
One more job is waiting for the mercenary Jim Powell once a corporation gets him out of prison. He is to go into a former Soviet laboratory, now held by a militia, and bring out the last of its specimens and information. Dr. Lyla Healy, a scientist, accompanies him, and she insists that Spencer, the corporation's security man, come along, to Powell's frustration. Powell reassembles his old crew: Steinmann, Mason and Corry among the soldiers, Harris and Williams among the engineers. A scout on a motorcycle nearly catches the group on the way in, and it takes cover on ground it thinks is a minefield. The militia holds the camp and the bunker beneath it, so Harris and Williams set out to bluff their way past the guards.
