Plot summary
Richard Addison ran illegal operations, and Ella Hatto's father had planned to tell the FBI about them. He had also taken 25 million dollars from Addison, and he and Ella's step-mother have been murdered. Ella, a student at a boarding school in Switzerland, does not know any of this. Lucas, a drug-addicted former soldier who works as a contract killer, was hired to kill her. Addison's gunmen come for Ella at a nightclub, and Lucas gets her away; a message then warns him that his own family will die unless he finishes the job, and the two of them set out for the French border.
