Plot summary

Phillip Sauvage, an American soldier being treated for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from his service in Iraq and Afghanistan, is recruited by Clarence Bowden, his former commanding officer, for a bodyguard detail. The client is Wayne Barclay, a retired heavyweight boxing champion who now runs a business and works as a community leader. Barclay's older sister and manager, Tamara, hired the protection because Terrell Singletery, a rap mogul known for ordering hits on his enemies, has been released from prison. Mullins, a member of Barclay's staff who served with Bowden, made the introduction. Sauvage wants to bring in men he trusts, while Wayne insists the guards be trained from his own boxing gym.
