Razaaq Adoti
Biography
Razaaq Adoti is a British actor who also works as a producer and screenwriter, and he grew up in Forest Gate, London, of Nigerian descent. His first professional screen job came on the British television series Press Gang, as a police officer, and he won an Edinburgh Festival Fringe First Award for Aesop, A New Opera with the National Youth Music Theatre, where he also played Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls. After three years of acting study at the Central School of Speech and Drama he took the part of Yamba in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). Later films include Gangster No. 1 (2000), Black Hawk Down, where his part was the antagonist Yousuf Dahir Mo'alim, Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), Haven (2004), Doom (2005), The Hard Corps (2005) and Bill Duke's Cover, as Dutch Maas. He wrote Sons of the Soil for his Area Boyz company and hosted and co-produced the Fox Soccer Channel program Extra Time.
