Plot summary
Connor McCloud hosts a morning radio show. The station changes hands, his slot ends, and he is let go. He is a widower with two teenage daughters. Work for a middle-aged DJ is hard to find, and interviews lead nowhere. He meets Ethan, a homeless man who encourages him. The House of Hope, a shelter for the homeless, hires Connor as its procurement director. His first assignment is to bring in four thousand frozen turkeys by Thanksgiving.
