Plot summary
Candy Morgan leaves prison, sheds her jumpsuit and turns to robbery, using lighted sticks of dynamite on small-town Texas banks. At one of them she gets help from Ellie-Jo Turner, a teller who has just lost her job over constant lateness and, in her employers' words, a total lack of character. The two meet again on the road when Candy offers Ellie-Jo a ride, and they take up robbery together as a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde. On their travels they come across Slim, who is in the middle of robbing a convenience store. They take him hostage, and he joins them.
