Claudia Jennings

Claudia Jennings was the professional name of Mary Eileen Chesterton, an American model and actress who became a Playboy centerfold before moving into exploitation cinema. Born in 1949 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, she grew up in Milwaukee, Richmond, Indiana and Evanston, Illinois. She took a job as a receptionist for Playboy and posed for the magazine in 1969, becoming Playmate of the Month that November and Playmate of the Year for 1970. She adopted the name Claudia Jennings professionally. She then turned to acting in exploitation movies and on television, where she acquired the label Queen of the B movies. Her television credits included a 1973 guest appearance on The Brady Bunch, and she was widely rumored to be a candidate to take over Kate Jackson's role on Charlie's Angels, a part that went to Shelley Hack instead. She died in 1979.
