Plot summary
By his own account Fred Simmons is a big shot: a fourth-degree black belt who teaches Taekwondo at a dojang in a small North Carolina town, drives a Ferrari and praises his martial art to prospective students. Julio Chavez, a boy, serves as his second-in-command at the school, and Henry Harrison is a youth with an obvious confidence problem. Fred's hero and obsession is Chuck "The Truck" Wallace, the star of B-movie martial arts pictures, whom he means to match. When he learns that Suzie, his wife, has been unfaithful with her new boss, his confidence collapses. To restore it, he sets out for a martial arts expo, where he hopes to meet Wallace.
