Plot summary
The Fang children, Annie and Baxter, took part in the performance pieces their parents Caleb and Camille staged in public places. Annie works as an actress, and Baxter, who has published two novels, takes a job writing about potato guns and lands in the hospital after agreeing to a William Tell stunt. The injury brings the family back together. Caleb asks his children, whom he calls A and B, to join a new piece, and Annie declines. Caleb and Camille then leave for the Berkshires, and the police find blood on the dashboard of their car.
