Plot summary
Ivy is a college student who has juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. She has come home to Brooklyn for a break and stays at her mother's house. Al, a childhood friend of hers who is also home from college, has parents who rented out his room for the season, so he asks to sleep on the couch. The two of them spend most of the break in each other's company, and that time together strengthens a bond that goes back to their childhood. Ivy has a distant college boyfriend, and she finds it hard to balance her feelings for him while Al is in the house.
