Plot summary
Clement Molloch is a doctor who turns his skills to torture instead of healing, and he works for governments that hire him to deal with insurgents. In Suriname he kills the journalist Jorge Hidalgo with electricity in front of officials. Holland, a retired assassin, lives quietly in the Cayman Islands until an old friend asks him to assassinate Molloch. Holland refuses at first. When he learns that Jorge, his friend, died at Molloch's hands, and sees video testimonies from victims in Chile and Asia, he changes his mind. He wants to travel as a family man, so he sets out for Guatemala, where Molloch is based, accompanied by Rhiana, the widow of his friend Jorge, and by Sarah, her daughter.
