Plot summary

George and Belinda Bannister take their children to Southern California to spend Christmas with Aunt Barbara. Aunt Barbara has a new puppy, Eve, and the family is delighted with her. Zeus, the Bannisters' own dog, is not. He alone sees the trouble Eve causes when no one else is around, and he decides to run away. On his way out he spots Ted and Stewey, two thrifty thieves, working to break into the house while the family is at church. Zeus and Eve must join together to save the holidays.
