Plot summary
Lisa, a writer, and David, an entrepreneur, are a couple from London who travel to Ballyvadlea, Ireland for a working holiday. Lisa plans to begin her second book there, while David works on the business plan for his startup. Neither of them knows that the ground under the house is cursed. Events span 1918, 1950 and 2010, and take in death, demons, deception, changelings and witchcraft. Lisa's curiosity draws her to memoirs left by Niav, a woman who had lived in the house a hundred years earlier, and the doors she opens wake demons. George, a wandering priest with a story of his own, is the only hope David has.
