The Cycle (2026) on Netflix

Plot summary

Dr. Meg Garland is a forensic anthropologist who runs The Body Farm, a facility where she teaches FBI agents how human remains decay in different environments, knowledge used to solve cold cases. She is called out when a mother and her daughter are found dead in a small town, their injuries suggesting an animal. Officers at the scene also locate a corpse missing for 36 years: it is Peter, Meg's father, who left the family when she was a child. The remains look unnaturally intact, with no visible marks of an animal on them. Nobody can say whether the body is connected to the killings. Meg assists local officers Ian and his father Marks with the inquiry and finds clues that lead back to her father's past.
