Plot summary
In 1996 in Upstate New York, Zach and Josh have been close friends since childhood. They go through their yearbook rating the girls, and both fix on Allison. After school one day they cross paths with Daryl, whom almost everyone dislikes, and Charlie, Daryl's friend from the eighth grade. That week the four boys gather at Josh's house, where they go through the possessions of Josh's brother, away serving in the military, and find marijuana and a katana. In a park beside the local cemetery they handle the sword and notice that Daryl has pocketed the marijuana. An argument turns into a fight.
