Plot summary
The Maze Virus swept through Europe and struck Ireland hardest, turning the people it infected into homicidal, zombie-like attackers. Once a cure was found, most of the infected who had been captured were treated, while the quarter who resisted it stayed locked up and the public waited for another outbreak. Senan is Cured and moves into the home of his sister-in-law Abbie, whose husband Luke is still missing. Conor, a lawyer before the outbreak, has no work and no welcome from his relatives, so he starts the Cured Alliance to win back what the Cured have lost. Sergeant Cantor, their rehabilitation officer, doubts they can live among the uninfected again, and the government plans to euthanize the resistant patients.
