Plot summary
Philip Markoff is among the brightest medical students at Boston University, and he is engaged to Megan McAllister. His friends, classmates and professors see a young man with a promising future, and Megan loves him without knowing anything of his crimes. What none of them sees is the double life he leads, one of gambling and of women he contacts through Craigslist advertisements. On April 14, 2009, a masseuse named Julissa Brisman, who had advertised her services on the site, is killed. Detectives Bennett and Frye take on the case, and other attacks on women are linked to Craigslist advertisements as well.
