Plot summary

Kept clear of any scandal while her father Horace Smith campaigns for the presidency, Mary Smith longs for a life of her own. Her uncle Hannibal takes her dancing at a nightclub, and police raid the place for gambling; reporters find Mary's name on the report, so her father sends her to the family's mansion in Palm Beach. Bored there, Mary asks her two housemaids to take her along on their blind date with cowboys from a visiting rodeo. The women meet their dates at the Rodeo Cafeteria, and Mary pairs off with Stretch Willoughby, a plain-spoken cowboy suspicious of high society. Back at her estate she pretends to be a lady's maid whose employer is out of town.
